We have been replacing and repairing leaking roofs and specialize in commercial and industrial buildings. We have installed thousands of roofs including top quality residential installations each day for over 46 years now, just roofs, millions of sq. ft!
Started in 1977, Still on the Roof
Rich DeMuro started in the roofing trade in 1977, which means the company carrying his name has now watched Clifton, NJ, go through several decades of roofs, storms, and building codes.
DeMuro Roofing Company has served North Jersey for nearly 50 years since then, and in that stretch of time, the work has added up to millions of square feet of commercial, industrial, and residential roofing across the region.
Longevity in this trade isn't really about the number of years on a business card. It shows up in the roofs still holding up from jobs done decades ago, in the repeat calls from property managers who've used the same roofing contractor since their first building, in knowing which materials actually last through a North Jersey winter and which ones just look good on a spec sheet.
That kind of history also means the company has adapted without losing its footing. Roofing materials have changed several times over since 1977 – with new membrane systems, coatings, and codes for commercial and industrial buildings – and DeMuro Roofing has kept up with each shift rather than sticking to whatever worked forty years ago out of habit.
DeMuro Roofing is based in Clifton, but the work stretches across Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Warren, Union, Morris, and Sussex counties.
That's most of North Jersey, covered by a company small enough that the person who quotes your job is often the same person who shows up to do it.
Being a local roofing company at this scale means something very specific: the crew knows the housing stock common across North Jersey, and the mix of commercial and residential work that defines roofing in this part of the state.
That kind of familiarity builds gradually, house by house and building by building, over decades of actually working in these towns rather than reading about them.
DeMuro took the harder path and built the company around handling more than one kind of roofing job.
Commercial work includes the flat-roof systems, membranes, and coatings that large buildings depend on. Industrial jobs involve structures where a roof failure isn't a minor repair; it's a shutdown that costs real money.
Residential work also gets the same standards, whether it’s a single-family home or a much larger reroofing project. A homeowner’s roof matters just as much to them as a factory roof matters to a plant manager.
Our experience covers asphalt shingles, slate, metal, EPDM, TPO, welded polyester systems, and the coatings that extend a flat roof's life well past what most people expect.
Our customers tend to mention the same things about DeMuro Roofing: fair pricing, a thorough explanation before any work starts, and a company that shows up when it says it will.
One review after a flat roof job on a historic home mentioned feeling comfortable with how experienced and responsible the crew was. This was particularly important to the customer because they’d specifically sought out a roofer used to older buildings.
DeMuro Roofing has had almost fifty years to build it, and the company still treats every new roof like the next one that reputation depends on.
Rich still takes the calls. Whatever county you're in, whatever kind of building needs work, and however small or large the job is, DeMuro Roofing Company approaches it with the same experience that's been accumulating since 1977 – and the same directness that's kept customers coming back for over 40 years.
